Sohre Pool Party 2013

August 3 and 4th marked the 3rd annual Sohre family pool party at the Malecek Pool!!

The entire family made it over and boy did we have fun. It was a beautiful weekend for swimming.

Everyone stayed over night too. As always lots of good memories.

These two boys, Joe and Zach, couldn't be any cutier. They were inseparable BFF's!!

Water Skiing

Also on our 4th of July Cabin fun weekend Gracelyn and Zachy got to try out the skies. 

I am not sure they even knew what water skiing was, but the Cornish boys were going to try so they thought the would try too. Amazingly they got up and both stayed up!! They were super excited at their success!!

4th of July Sohre Cabin Fun

Over the 4th of July weekend we spent a few days and my Mom and Dad's cabin.

Passing Swimming Lessons

July was swimming lessons month.

Gracelyn was in level 2 this year and we put Zach in level 1 lessons.

Lessons run for 2 weeks, Monday - Thursday. Gracelyn's lesson was 50 minutes and Zach's was 30 minutes.  The first week went fine and then the second week was quite busy, as we had to rush to get them the swim lessons by 5pm, then they had Vacation Bible School at our church from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.

The kids were troopers though and did great with the busy schedule.

The best part:  They had a blast at VBS and both passed the swim lessons!!

Redwood waterpark

We have enjoyed a couple visits to the local Redwood Falls Waterpark. The kids just love it. 

Jared loves the fishy slide. Zachy loves the regular diving board, and Gracelyn loves the High Dive.

They are so brave, no life jackets or anything. 

They just keep on jumping, and jumping.

Swimming fun

The kids have become quite the waterbugs again this summer!

Jared surprised us on how brave he is to jump in all on his own and put his head under and everything. It is so fun to watch.

My walking crew

 This summer when I go on a walk and if it happens to be during the day on a weekend or a day I don't work I have to take my kiddies with me... and we have outgrown the double stroller... so this is the crew I walk with this summer. I push Jared in the stroller, mind you on a gravel road, with a baby bump tummy, Gracelyn and Zach ride their bikes. Gracelyn has become very good at riding her bike this summer. For Zach this is his first summer on the bigger bike. We tried with no training wheels for a little bit, but it is to hard on the gravel, so back on they went. We usually go about 2 miles. I am pretty impressed at how Zach does with those training wheels on the gravel. I bet when we get a passer-by it is quite the site - Me and my Crew.
