Jared turns 3!!!

 Mr. Jared turned 3!!!!!
Here is a update on what he has accomplished in his 3rd year of life:

• He starting talking!!!!  At his birthday he wasn't really talking yet, but it seemed once he started, shortly after his birthday, he didn't stop. He picked up words so fast and by 2 1/2 he was doing sentences.
• Knows his shapes and colors.
• Can count to 5 and does a pretty good job counting to ten when he looks at a book.
• Knows his ABC's when he is looking at a book.
• Loves to read the Micky Mouse books for shapes, colors, numbers, and ABC's.
• Loves to watch Micky Mouse cartoon on TV.
• Able to play with the iPad and plays Monkey Math, Toca Builders, and looks at the pictures.
• LOVES Disney's Frozen theme song "Let It Go'!!!! He can put in on all by him self on the iPad.
• Loves to watch Daddy play "candy crush" on the iPad.
• Daddy often puts him to bed. They read the Micky Mouse books, sing songs with the iPad or with the Scout teddy bear, or glow worm.
• Takes a pretty good nap from around 1pm to 3pm.
• Sleeps in a big boy Twin bed.  Shares a room with his baby brother Isaiah.
• Welcomed home his baby brother Isaiah in December - immediately likes him. He is sure to tell Mommy when "baby crying, pick up".  Even tried to pick him up once to give to mommy!
• Tells mommy to feed Isaiah.
• Can run fast, loves to ride the Barbie Hot Wheels, loves the sandbox, loves the swimming pool!
•  Loves Marely (the dog).
• Enjoyed the Mall of America Water Park.
• Got to stay at the Daly's and Grandpa/ma Sohre's when the rest of the family went to Florida.
• Always polite, says thank you and please.
• LOVES milk!!!
• Gives kisses to mommy and daddy.
• Hasn't gotten rid of the diapers yet, struggling with the potty training.
• Loves to eat popcorn and movie night.
• Such a sweet little guy!!

Happy birthday little guy! You are growing up so fast! Love you so much.

4th Annual Mommy/Daughter Pedicure outing

Miss Gracelyn and I have been doing this I pretty sure 4 years already - during our weekend stay at the cabin over the 4th of July - Gracie and I go and get pedicures.

SOOOO. MUCH. FUN.

Gosh I am glad I have one girl out of the bunch! 

This year we opted to have the same color and design. We match. So cute. 

Mohawk

This is what happens when you let your little boy stay for an overnight with his best bud/cousin Joe.

See Joe has a mohawk, so of course Zach wants one.

Pretty soon I get a text message from Auntie Shelly, "can we give Zach a mohawk to match Joe??"

me: "ummm, not sure. I don't think so:

Shelly:  "ahh, come on, it will be cute!"

me:  call to Marty... discussion...

me: Call to Shelly - Umm, I guess so, but tell Zach it will only be for the weekend!

And then....

It's mohawk time!

And the influential Cousin/Zach's BFF: Joe

Then it the weekend is over and we are back home... and by by mohawk.

Summer Cabin Fun

Isaiah first time eating

Almost 7 months old... so we figured time to take the plunge and try to feed this little guy.

The food: banana

Does he like it: Not so much!!!

He got a little in his month though, probably more on his bib :)

Oh the adventures to come.

Ahh, this guy... just can't get any cuter!! Gosh I love him, Little Isaiah Joseph Elmer!

Rhubarb Cake

A few months back, I believe it was in May, me and my boys joined forces and set off to bake a Rhubarb cake.  See my Zachy, he loves to help me bake things in the kitchen. Jared he is starting to catch on too, and then my little Isaiah, well he is to young to know yet, if he is gonna be my kitchen helper, but I think their is a good chance!  This was on a Monday that my Princess Gracelyn was in school. So it was just me and my boys, at home, in the kitchen. SO. MUCH. FUN.

Not sure why Jared is crying here, but that is usually how it goes - we have some giggles, so good times, then a good cry, then back to having fun, and enjoyment!

And here we are the pan of Rhubarb cake all ready for the oven.

 

Gosh this little guy is cute!!!

If I remember correctly it tasted really, really good!!!!

Dance Recital May 2014

 

A post that is way past due again... but these are pictures from Gracelyn's final dance recital of the year.

This was back in May. She was BEAUTIFUL!

It was a busy weekend with practice Friday evening, pictures Saturday afternoon, performance Saturday evening and another performance Sunday afternoon!

It was fabulous. She really enjoys dance.
