Twins Game

 A few weeks back we took a few days to stay for a small vacation. We stayed at my parents lake cabin. We had a great time. One of the evenings we got tickets to a TWINS game at Target Field. This was a new adventure for us. One of those "we better do this before we have 3 kids" thoughts.

I am not a baseball fan, but needless to say I still wanted to go to the new stadium.

We got all dressed up in our TWINS gear and off we went to a Thursday night, 7:10pm game.

 It got kinda late for us, but I have to say the kids did very well and so did the parents.

I think we might do it again someday.

 When we got there we got suckered into some face painting.

Zachy wanted Elmo... so that is what he got.

 Gracie wanted Hello Kitty, so that is what she got.

 We were there plenty early so we walked down to the lower deck to get a close-up view of the field.

 We found our seats and watched for a little bit.

 Then Marty says he is going to go get us some food.

He comes back with these gigantic burgers.

 Music is playing and the crowd is a little loud.

Gracie covers her ears as she thinks it is to loud!!

 Then comes the popcorn and sodas.

 Then the kiddos got a few ants-in-their-pants so we did some walking around.

The kids very much enjoy the escalators.

 They even talked us in to getting some Cotton Candy.

I have not had Cotton Candy in many, many years. 

 I think we left around the 7th inning as it was getting late.
We had a great time and I am glad we had the adventure.



37+ weeks

 I put Gracie to work on her picture taking skills again.

This is what we got.

She is getting better.

We are at 37 weeks here.

This means baby can come any day, and believe me I want this baby to come as soon as possible.

I blame it on being pregnant in my 30's. With the other 2 I was still in my 20's and I think I handled it better.

My body is just to old this time around!! 

Well I guess I am not doing so bad. Overall no problems with the pregnancy.

 Baby is measuring good.  Baby's heartrate is good. I am measuring good. My heartrate and blood pressure is good. Some swelling, some heartburn, lots of backaches, but otherwise everything is good.

So I should stop my complaining and be greatful for good outcomes thus far.

And I really am greatful for no complications or problems.

(but I still want this baby to be out-of-me sooner than later!)

Family photos -36 weeks.

I wanted to get some maternity photos taken as I have seen some of my friends do this and they are always so precious, so last Friday we had this done.

Below are just a couple of the photos the photographer put on his website, so I thought I would share them.

A lot of the other photos were of Gracie and Zach kissing and hugging my belly bump and were adorable.

I wish I could share them all, but these will have to do.

I am 36 weeks pregnant in these photos. 4 weeks to go.

Gracie is 4 1/2 years old and Zachy is just a couple months shy of 3 years old.

As I look at those photos I am stunned at how my little babies have grown up so fast.

Obviously I knew they were growing up, but sometimes looking at a photo like this makes you realize what little adults they are becoming.  I mostly had this feeling as I looked at Zach's photo - clearly he is growing up. Seems like he was just learning how to walk and drink from a cup and now he is such a big boy! And my Gracie... I just don't think she could get any cutier!

 Hope this little one inside me bring me just as much joy!

Starwberry jam

 It is strawberry time... this means strawberry jam time.

 The kids are getting to be such a big help.

And they have sooo much fun helping Mommy.

We looooove homemade strawberry jam.

 We should be good for the year I think.

Baseball

 The kids got their first baseball gloves, balls, and tee ball stand.

Marty took them out and showed them how to play.

Doesn't this little guy look like a natural?

  It think we may have a future Twins player here. 

Redwood County Fair 2011

 It is FAIR time!  Redwood County Fair that is. It was hot and sweaty as always.

 We enjoyed looking at the animals: cows, goats, piggies, sheep, geese, bunnies, chickens, and ducks.

 Then came the rides which is a big hit with Gracie and Zach.

Gracie even got to do bumper cars with Marty this year, Zach was to short.

 They are having a whale of a good time!

 Then some good fair food:
corn dogs for the kids and pork sandwiches for Marty and I.
