Gracelyn Malecek: 4 years old

 My princess had a birthday. She is now 4 years old.  I can't believe 4 years have gone by. I keep asking her if she can just stay 'mommy's little girl' forever, but she always tells me 'no, I want to be a big girl like you.' I guess I have no say in the matter... it is going to happen!

Grandma Betty got her a "Dora Cake". It was a special request from the princess.

Grandma Betty made us supper too. When we asked Gracie what she wanted, she said "mac-n-cheese" so this is what we had (and hamburgers).

 Grandma Myra surprised us with a visit also.  That is a long drive for her on a Wednesday evening so we were quite surprised and excited for her to come for the birthday party.

 Uncle Kevin came too.

From Grandma and Grandpa Malecek Gracie got her Cinderella outfit... so she is officially a Princess!

High heels, crown, gown, and all!

 From Marty and I she got a kitchen set.  Gracie and Zach both immediately loved it and started playing.

Here is the things Gracie has learned or done in her 4th year of life:

1. Learned to ride a bike with training wheels

2.  Learned to use a scissors and cut her own hair right down the middle (not such a good thing).

3. Started Preschool at St. John's on Monday mornings.

4. Started Sunday School at Gloria Dei.

5.  Completely potty trained shortly after her 3rd birthday, overnight too.

6. Use colors and markers and color for the most part in the lines.

7. Learn to swim with her life jacket on.

8. Jumps in the pool all by herself without her life jacket and puts her head under water.

9. Can count to 13.

10. Can say ABC's.

11. Learns songs and can sing: Jesus loves me, This little light of mine, Jingle bells, twinkle twinkle, ABC's, If you are happy and you know it.

12. Can recognize letters, especially letter G.

13. Can write her own name.

14. Learned how to draw smiley faces.

15. Sleeps on the top bunk of the bunk beds.

16. She can dress/undress herself and put on her own shoes.

17.  Cares about her little brother very much and for the most part does a good job sharing and playing with him.

18.  Thinks she has a baby in her tummy right now like mommy and she is going to name her baby: Cinderella!
